- Tennessee, 2023

I was born and raised in Nashville, TN, which is somewhat of a rarity these days! I attended Harpeth Hall, an all-girls school for 8 years and graduated in 2016. I followed in my sister’s footsteps for college and attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. To say I loved TCU is an understatement—I cherish my experience there dearly and am so grateful to have made some of my best friends during my time there. I never missed a TCU football game as a student, and I still love cheering on the Frogs from afar to this day.
In my free time, I love to work out at Iron Tribe Fitness. Also, although I don’t necessarily enjoy running, I’ve finished four half marathons and have made it a goal to run one annually.
I’ve also been lucky enough to travel around the world, and it’s something I love to do whenever I can. In college, I spent a Semester at Sea—I lived on a ship with 500 students, taking classes while circumnavigating the globe from North America to Southeast Asia, the coast of Africa, and Europe. Today, I’ve been to 25 countries across 6 continents. I’ve seen many of the world wonders including the Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China, Egyptian Pyramids, Colosseum, and Christ the Redeemer Statue.
I knew I wanted to become a lawyer from a young age, as my mom was an attorney. Originally, I wanted to practice criminal defense, so I chose to major in Criminal Justice. I’ve always been fascinated with true crime podcasts, T.V. shows, and documentaries. As a Criminal Justice major, I pursued several opportunities in the realm of criminal law. I interned at a criminal defense firm in Fort Worth, as well as the Tennessee Post Conviction Defender in Nashville.
As a Junior in college, I was projected to graduate early, but because I couldn’t bear the thought of leaving TCU just yet, I added a second major in Political Science. Though I never saw myself pursuing a career in politics, I still found the “hot topics” quite interesting, and my two majors complimented each other well. In addition to my Criminal Justice internships, I also had the opportunity to intern for Congresswoman Kay Granger as well as the Republican Party of Texas.
As my time at TCU drew to a close, and I was confronted with the decision of where to attend law school, Vanderbilt was always my top choice. I knew I wanted to return to Nashville, and the prestige and reputation of Vanderbilt seemed unmatched.
I graduated from TCU, summa cum laude, in 2020, and began law school at Vanderbilt in the fall. It was only a few days into law school that I realized my dreams of becoming a criminal defense attorney were not as glamorous as I had once imagined. My sights switched from criminal to civil work, and my summer clerkships followed suit. I got my introduction to estate planning during the summer before my final year of law school as a clerk at Holton & Mayberry in Nashville. I received a crash course in wills, trusts, and wealth management. Upon graduating from Vanderbilt in May of 2023 and sitting for the bar, I joined Crow Estate Planning & Probate. Beginning my legal career at a well-established firm and learning from John and his team is such a privilege!

The Crow law firm was absolutely wonderful from start to finish.the entire team was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Above all they were absolutely caring in helping me through a difficult time. I highly recommend this law firm.all my needs were taken care of and were handled in a timely manner…I am forever grateful.
I cannot recommend Thomas Steelman highly enough! From the very start, he made the entire process of setting up our estate trust absolutely painless. His expertise and clear explanations turned what I expected to be a daunting task into a smooth and stress-free experience.
Not only did he handle every aspect of our estate trust with great attention to detail, but he (and law firm colleagues) also took care of transferring over our home deeds so we didn’t have to deal with the hassle of going to the county office ourselves. That alone saved us so much time and stress!
I honestly thought the process was going to cost a small fortune, but I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the pricing was. Most importantly, though, Thomas gave us peace of mind knowing that our hard-earned assets are protected and will go exactly where we want them—without placing unnecessary burdens on our loved ones.
If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and professional estate trust attorney, Thomas and team are the ones to trust. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
John and his team did an amazing job helping my family get our affairs in order. Could not recommend them more!
