I was born and raised in Clarksville, Tennessee, and I truly couldn’t imagine living or working anywhere else. Like most of my family, I graduated from Clarksville High School, and the traditions of this community run deep in our household. My parents met at Austin Peay State University, where my father played baseball for the Govs. After college, he opened a small local business that he has successfully operated for nearly forty years—showing me early on what dedication, reliability, and service to others really looks like. My mother, also a Clarksville High School graduate, owned two small businesses of her own before recently retiring as a judicial assistant for several Circuit Court judges. Clarksville is home in every sense of the word, and it has shaped both my personal life and my professional path in ways I’m grateful for every day.
My siblings and I share that same deep connection to this community. My younger brother was a standout golfer at Clarksville High School and later at UT Martin. He won consecutive OVC championships, earned All-OVC honors all four years, and was recently inducted into the UT Martin Athletics Hall of Fame. After several PGA appearances, he returned home, married his high school sweetheart, and now owns and operates a successful small business here in Clarksville. My younger sister is another Clarksville High graduate. She stayed close to home during college, attending Austin Peay State University, and now teaches school in Ashland City. Her two sons—my nephews—attend Clarksville Academy, proudly carrying on our family’s long tradition of local education.
Most of my time outside of work revolves around my two children. Baylee is 18, a recent Clarksville High School graduate, and absolutely loves animals — especially horses. She works on the same horse farm where she took riding lessons growing up and she’s always up for a quick fishing trip or a spur of the moment camping weekend. Drew, 13 and a 7th-grader at Richview Middle School, keeps me constantly on the run from one sport or another. He plays on the Richview Middle baseball and golf teams, a local travel baseball team, the Clarksville Junior Golf Tour, and played for the Clarksville National Little League for years. Our days are filled with practices, games, and tournaments, and he’s always looking for an opportunity to incorporate another sport in the mix!
Clarksville’s legal community has been my home for more than two decades. My career began in late 2005 when I was hired by newly appointed Clerk and Master, Ted Crozier, Jr., as a Deputy Clerk I in the Chancery Court Clerk’s Office. I assisted with probates, name changes, real estate matters, and appeals, among many other responsibilities. I eventually advanced to Deputy Clerk II before assuming a new role in 2014. It was during these years that I built the foundation of my experience in probate and court operations that still guides my work today.
In 2014, I accepted the position of Judicial Assistant to Chancellor Larry McMillan. For more than eight years, I supported the Chancellor, prepared court dockets, drafted court opinions, and assisted with everything from simple motion hearings to week-long jury trials. That role introduced me to the inner workings of the judicial system and allowed me to develop the strong organizational and administrative skills that continue to guide my work today.
In 2022, I returned to the Clerk and Master’s Office as Chief Deputy, where I assisted with the daily operations of the court. I managed the filing of probates, conservatorships, guardianships, delinquent tax matters, and a wide range of other Chancery Court cases. My time there strengthened my dedication to helping families navigate some of the most important and emotional moments in their lives.
In 2025, I joined Crow Estate Planning and Probate, PLC as a senior paralegal. I have known John Crow for over 15 years, since his early days practicing law in Clarksville at Batson Nolan, and I am grateful for the opportunity to now work alongside him and his talented team. My primary focus includes probate, conservatorship, guardianship, real estate, and business matters, with additional support in estate planning.
I truly enjoy the work we do and the opportunity to continue serving the local and legal communities I have called home my entire life. From my family’s deep roots in Clarksville to my years of service within its legal community, this town has shaped my past and continues to guide my future. Helping families through important and often emotional legal transitions is something I find both meaningful and rewarding. Needless to say, I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given, proud of the work I do, and excited for the new chapters still ahead with Crow Estate Planning and Probate!
