A Little About Me

I have lived in the middle Tennessee area my entire life, and plan to keep it that way! I grew up in Pleasant View, which still has the small-town charm but conveniently halfway between the bigger cities of Clarksville and Nashville. Once I graduated from Sycamore High School, I attended Austin Peay State University after winning a full ride scholarship through the President’s Emerging Leaders Program. While I was a member of PELP, I had the opportunity to take several leadership courses led by various leaders at the university and volunteer with Habitat for Humanity in Trinidad and Tobago. During my time at APSU, I also joined several organizations, including Alpha Delta Pi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Order of Omega. It was during my junior year internship with the Office of Alumni Relations that I discovered my passion for marketing, social media, and event planning. Eager to jump into my career, I graduated a semester early summa cum laude with my Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communication and a minor in Leadership Science. However, I’d be remised if I didn’t call out another major milestone during my time at APSU: meeting, and later marrying, my college sweetheart, Sam. Fun fact: he was our school’s mascot for two years, so “Let’s Go Peay!” is a commonly used phrase in our household.

Life After Graduation

After graduation, I began my professional career with an agency in Nashville. As a senior account manager for Parachute Media, I worked with a variety of clients and industries, helping them with their digital marketing needs. Some of my favorite projects include helping launch the Pancho & Lefty’s restaurant in Nashville (their hot chicken taco is my favorite bite in town), the new market campaign for Edley’s Bar-B-Que when they expanded out of state for the first time, and developing a content campaign for Bart Durham Injury Law that later won a Gold ADDY from the Nashville AAF. It was through this client work that I continued to hone in which aspect of marketing I was most passionate about, which was helping develop and launch new brands, and the impact that social media has on reaching new audiences.

For the next 5 years, I served as a leader and senior specialist at Ramsey Solutions on their social media and marketing team. When I originally joined, I was on the launch team for Rachel Cruze’s new brand and show, which helped pave the way for future Personalities to grow their presence beyond Dave Ramsey’s existing audience. I had the opportunity to help launch several new products and books, including the New York Times’ best-seller, “Know Yourself, Know Your Money”. It was an exciting company to be a part of, but I wanted the next chapter of my career to be closer to home, which is what led me to joining the team at Crow in the spring of 2023.

My favorite title I’ve held is Mom, and we’re thankful for our sweet Caroline that was born in December of 2021. Outside of work and raising a toddler, my husband and I serve as volunteer staff members for our church, Real Life Sango. I am also a volunteer advisor for the APSU chapter of Alpha Delta Pi. You can find us cheering on our alma mater in any sport they are playing, but when it’s football season, I still bust out my orange and white checkboard and happily chant Rocky Top loud enough for all to hear. We also enjoy vacationing to 30A and plan to visit Disney again soon!
