A Little About Me

I love being outdoors. As a child, I spent many weekends at an archery range with my dad, running wild through creeks, fields, and archery trails. I am an avid birdwatcher, so I take my son to Rotary Park and walk the trails, seeing what birds we can spy. I am teaching him to identify birds by their songs.

We have a super fat and cuddly cat named Trudy who likes to curl up on me while I read historical novels (anything by Pearl S. Buck and Leon Uris). I enjoy rock music, interior decorating, and traveling. I have been known to take spontaneous trips. Once, I flew my mom and I to New York City for 36 hours to see a concert in Central Park!

I don’t have a lot of free time now, as my weekends are filled with activities with my kindergartener, but when I can sneak away, you’ll find me with friends at one of the many Mexican restaurants in town, perusing antique stores with my mom, or maybe even in Alberta, Canada where my best friend of 20 years lives.
