A Little About Me
Although I was raised in Clarksville, TN, I have been living, studying, and working in Nashville for the past 16 years. (My family still resides in Clarksville so you may see me in the Madison Street location from time to time!) Growing up, I always loved learning new things, following the rules, and imagining what the future would look like. When I got my first job as a teenager, I quickly realized just how important it is to stick to a budget and pay your taxes. I feel quite grateful I never lost sight of these principles and find myself 10 years into a career as a Certified Public Accountant – a profession where my appreciation for financial planning and pristine paperwork continues to grow stronger every day.
In 2021, I began my favorite role to date – an auntie! The addition of my new baby niece to the family sparked conversations about updating wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. Although these conversations were a bit emotional and uncomfortable, I know my family members felt relief knowing a plan was in place for their loved ones. The thought of helping other families secure their legacies and safeguard their hard-earned wealth resonates deeply with me. I also intend to volunteer with IRS’s VITA/TCE program to assist the elderly and low-income individuals with file their federal tax returns.
Outside of the office, I enjoy cooking, writing, and playing city-building games. I also come from a family of master gardeners – in the summertime you may catch me alongside my twin sister selling homegrown blueberries at the Clarksville Downtown Market. I also love being outside as much as I can, typically biking, jogging, and birdwatching on the Nashville greenways. I live in East Nashville with my partner David and our fluffy tabby cat Minnie.
