Journey to the Law
I knew from a young age I wanted to be a lawyer. I graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Psychology and earned my J.D. from The University of Tulsa College of Law.
I was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2004 and am admitted to practice law before all state trial courts in Tennessee, the Tennessee Court of Appeals, and the Tennessee Supreme Court. He is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Tennessee, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. For over 21 years, I have represented clients in general civil litigation, estate and probate planning, and estate and probate litigation, declaratory judgment actions, family law, and appellate procedure and matters.
I have served as first chair in hundreds of trials, both jury and non-jury, with over 21 plus years of litigation work. I’ve also managed several litigation offices during my tenure directing litigation for multiple attorneys.
My experience has led to me to serving as a speaker at numerous seminars throughout the State of Tennessee for insurance claims representatives, insurance companies, members of the Tennessee Bar at CLE seminars, and the Tennessee Bar Association involving multiple areas of law including jury and non-jury trial work, insurance, complex litigation, negotiations, settlements, arbitrations, mediations, and estate planning and probate.
I am a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, and a graduate of the Insurance Institute of America.
